Palpa, Nepal

On dated 22nd Phalgun, 2074, after the 13 hours of travelling, we reached in Tansen, Palpa at 8:30 AM. We Palpali team descended to Palpa bus park then we asked the local person about Palpa and district education office. Also, we took information about our school locating areas. We ate lunch in Palpali Hotel, after finishing our meal we moved to DEO of Palpa. We met the head of DEO, she helped us to make the letter to our selected schools. After completion of our district task we visited Palpa’s Sen Durbar, it is very wonderful and attractive architecture made by late. Sen King. This building reconstructed as the same design with materials used before. Then we decided to visit another famous place of Nepal which located at Palpa; that is Rani Mahal. We took Hulas Mustang van and after one hour of the ride, we reached Rani Mahal. Its distance from Tansen is 17 KM. This Rani Mahal constructed before 120 years ago in the name of the queen, which designed by the British engineer.


Next day, we went to the Tower for scene sight, from top of the Tower we viewed all Tansen bazaar and territory of Palpa. After completion of our lunch, we started our journey from Tansen to Mujhung, approximately 2:30 hours of travelling we reached Mujhung. We took our snacks then asked for sheltering at night but we didn’t get a positive response from them. So, we called SMC president, he helped us to find a home for a stay, he took us toward the home to stay.  He is so helpful, in his execution period many constructive and fruitful tasks have been executing.
Next day, we reached Kalika secondary school with one of the teachers before the assembly. We observed buildings. Toilets, water tank, garden, playground, compound, etc within the territory of school. Buildings are very good, enough classroom, ECD room with carpeting. There are three buildings one is concretely constructed with the help of Room to Read and another district governmental donation. ECD room is very friendly with the learning environment and easy sitting arrangement in a sofa with round table for common study. There is counselling room also this is one of the extra new than other schools.


Headteacher and SMC president found very genuine, they always spoke truth and fact. They encourage them who are capable and skilful in the selection of any discipline, they also threaten school superintendent; don’t mess with capability and ability of competitors. We found teachers cooperative and reciprocal relationship each of them with each other. Head sir recorded all students’ progress report on file; that is also an indicator of measuring students’ knowledge. They do quiz contest in every assembly above class 3-10 turn by turn. Water is very much scarcity in this area but they have managed water tank for drinking. The school environment is very friendly and learnable. They also get budget from the government for another building to construct. Mujhung community is mixed with Magar and Chhetri. School office room is good; every teacher has his/her table and related books. They have posted their necessary time table schedule and information on the wall. But there were not very neat and clean tablecloths and other posting pamphlets. Head sir also coordinated with us very friendly and told us to give written feedback.
